Running in my mind
Getting nowhere fast
Running in endless circles
Running to escape my past
Running from dark consequences
From which there will be no escape
Running from anything and everything
But reality grabs me by the nape
We’re always running in circles
Never confronting what must be confronted
Always running in circles
Courage that was long ago stunted
Never could we at least run in a straight path
This hopeless procedure will never get us anywhere
Soon we will run into wrath
For that’s all that waits from running there
But I’m getting so dizzy now
How can we possibly keep this up?
I can’t see straight now
In my hand is this overflowing cup
Spilling all over the place
And again I run from the mess
For my greatest fear is to see my own face
To see would force me to confess
